Jeff Katz

Jeff Katz is an accomplished architect with more than 30 years of experience creating spaces that bring people together and delivering solutions that positively impact communities. He has worked on an extensive range of complex and diverse projects ranging from community centers to entertainment, commercial, public safety, retail, civic spaces, libraries and more. At COAR Design Group, relationships are built on trust, dedication, and our ability to work together as a team. Jim Amundson

Former Principal at

Coffman Engineers

Jim has more than 35 years of structural engineering experience as a partner at Hope-Amundson and later as principal at Coffman Engineers when they merged. He provides valuable oversight on highly complex projects using his technical knowledge and design approach. Jim has led and managed numerous projects in the educational, commercial, government, life science, healthcare, and hospitality markets including design-build project delivery in many of these markets. Jim has served as the Board President for the Structural Engineers Association of San Diego, the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC), and the Applied Technology Council (ATC).

Brett Jackson

Brett supplemented his long professional career with real estate investments starting at the age of 21 and since then, he has actively participated in a range of real estate initiatives that includes 1031 exchanges, tenants in common partnerships(TICs), opportunity zones, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), apartment buildings and condominium conversions. His in-depth expertise of general business endeavors, combined with a broad perspective on real estate dynamics, enriches the team with a rare blend of skills and business insights.

Laura Jackson

Managing Director at

Laura leveraged her engineering background in a range of technical roles, while concurrently managing real estate investments. In 2005 she established Estate Restorations and works as an entrepreneur in construction project management and development, real estate asset management, and new investment ventures. Her project management skills give her a strong perspective and background of the entire process and business proposition of a real estate project. Laura has her California Real Estate license and is a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®).
